MT507/508 SET UP 1-2-3
Antenna or cable is required to receive TV signals. Move the MonitorTV out of the box with cautions!
Unpacking Instructions
- Open the top of the box
- Take out all accessories but NOT the packing foam
- Flip the box upside down and lift the packing box up
- Remove the foam and fold over plastic bag.
- Do not push the surface of the speakers to avoid any damages
- Install the base. Then flip the MonitorTV on its normal position.
- Install 2AA batteries into the remote control unit.
Basic Wiring Instruction
- Put TV Cable Adapter on the position [RFIN]
- Connect TV antenna or cable (Not include in the accessories)
- Connect left speaker to [to left]; [line in] to [to speaker].
- Connect speaker power adapter to [DC in]
- Connect both monitorTV and speaker power cord to 110V/60Hz outlet on wall.
Basic TV Set Up
- Turn on MonitorTV power switch and speaker power switch
- Push [PC/TV] button on the remote unit to set MonitorTV on TV mode
- Use [CH<] and [CH>] to show channel [0] on your screen
- Push [set] button once ( This button is on the front of your MonitorTV) to autoscan TV channels; wait until it is finished.
- Use [Fine] on remote unit to improve the TV picture if it is necessary.
- Use [AV] to select the video source if you connect VCR, LCD etc.
- Use [AV] to select hearing audio source either from TV, CD-ROM or VCR while you work with PC.
- If you want to set channel number identically with your local TV or cable, please use manu set up.
- You must do Set Up again if you change TV antenna to cable or change cable to TV antenna.

The following problems may not caused by hardware failure. Please use the troubleshooting guide below before calling for RMA service. If you have followed the guide but none of the remedies worked, call customer service at (909) 946-8839.Before Calling for Service:

| No Picture | Check AC power cord and connection. Make sure that monitor signal cable is connected to your PC. Then turn on the power, adjust Brightness and Contrast controls. | |
| Power on but no window | Using your original PC monitor, on window screen: click [Start] > Setting > Control Panel > display >Settings, set resolution at 640x480, > apply > OK; exit the window, turn off your monitor and PC. Unplug the old monitor. Hook up MonitorTV to your PC and turn on the power. Window 95/98 will find monitorTV automatically. Then you can change monitorTV to higher resolution. | |
| Picture Distorted | Adjust picture control | |

No picture or no sound | Check the power of monitorTV, power of speaker, TV antenna or cable connection. Try turning power off and then turning it back on after one or two minutes. |
| Remote control does not work | Check power connection of monitorTV. Check the batteries in remote control. Point remote control to the infrad receiver on monitorTV. | |
| Bars on screen | If outside antenna is being used, check for broken wire. Alternatively, check for local interference. | |
| Picture Distorted: | Try a new channel; if that one is OK, then could just be a possible station problem. If outside antenna is being used, check for broken wire. | |
| No Color | Check system selection. Should be System 1 - NTSC in United States | |
| Weak picture | Check your antenna connection | |
| Line/streaks in picture | Check local interference from electronic device, motor, etc. | |
| Picture OK, Sound poor | Check the wiring of the speakers. Make sure speaker cable goes into " Line in" on right-side speaker. Push [AV] to check if it is at right mode. |
